Our work is peer-led, community-based, and grounded in real relationships
Through the COVID-19 Community Equity Fund, we partnered with the LA County Department of Public Health and Department of Health Services to support health equity in hard-hit areas.
Since 2016, we’ve been contracted by the City of Los Angeles Office of Wage Standards to conduct door-to-door business outreach in the San Fernando Valley, Hollywood, and beyond. Here’s some of what we’ve done:

We educate both employers and employees about labor laws, including minimum wage, paid sick time, and Fair Chance Hiring. We also deliver materials for posting and employee rights information.
Covered CA and more
We’ve also supported Covered CA enrollment through street canvassing, one-on-one education, and business engagement. These efforts helped reach workers in industries that don’t typically offer insurance.
Our paid work experience participants gain real work experience by serving as outreach workers and enrollment counselors, so the impact goes both ways.
